Rules and Etiquette
Golf is a game of honour. Golfers sign their cards at the end of the round to say, “This is a true and accurate record of my round”. Honourable golf requires the rules to be followed and the spirit of the game be respected at all times. At Leura we request that all players keep this in mind as they play their round.
Course Care
Please take care of our course by filling divots on our fairways with the sand buckets provided, and repairing your pitch marks on the greens. Please also keep golf carts at least 15 metres from the greens and use the paths provided as much as possible.
Slow Play
A round of golf should take somewhere between 4 to 4.5 hours. Please use common sense and good manners to keep up with the group in front and to allow faster groups behind you to play through.
Preferred Lies
In general, Preferred Lies through the General Area applies at Leura Golf Club. This means that a player is entitled to mark their ball on fairways and in the rough and then place it no nearer the hole within 30cms of where it lies. It does not apply if the ball is in a bunker, a penalty area or is out of bounds.

Conditions of Play for all Club Championship events are listed in the Calendar entry for that event.

Conditions of Play for Bisque Par as played at LGC
This event is a variation of the Individual Par competition, where players allocate their full handicap to each hole however they like. In this Bisque Par competition, players will determine their handicap stroke allocation for a hole after playing that hole (and mark that allocation on the score card at that time). The allocation of handicap strokes will obviously cease once the player’s full handicap has been used. The game is then played as an Individual Par competition, and scored in the same fashion.
