COVID-19 Notice 14.3.20

NOTICE – March 14 2020

Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)

In recent days Australia and NSW has seen an increase in the number of diagnosed cases of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Club continues to closely monitor this situation and is seeking regular updates from the Federal Government, the NSW Department of Health and Clubs NSW.

Guidance for LGC Members Relating to COVID-19 (the Coronavirus)

The Club requests all members and visitors to keep informed by regularly referring to the advice outlined by Health NSW available at  The Club expects all members and guests to abide by these guidelines as we consider the health and welfare of our members, staff, visitors and the wider community to be of paramount importance.

In particular, if you have recently travelled or are unwell or believe you may have been in contact with someone who may be at risk of carrying the disease, please do not visit the club and follow the guidelines outlined above to minimise the risk of transmission.

How is LCG Responding to this Health Crisis?

To minimise the risk of transmitting COVID-19 we are

  • Providing hand sanitiser within the club premises,
  • Increased cleaning scope to cover high traffic areas and touch points,
  • Displaying posters in the club house entrances reminding members and guests of COVID-19 preventative measures,
  • Encouraging social distancing and avoiding shaking hands as greetings and the customary end of round courtesy.

The Club also reminds all members, guests and staff of the importance of hygiene practices such as regular washing of hands, as well as coughing and sneezing etiquette. We also ask that you keep the Club informed if any person you know is diagnosed with the Coronavirus.

As of today, all planned events, course and club house trading hours and regular competitions are going ahead without change.  However, we ask your understanding if we need to revise any of the above in response to this pandemic event.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the health and wellbeing of all in our Club.
