LGC Wins National Award

On Saturday 13th April, I had the privilege of representing Leura Golf Club at the Annual Australian Small Business Champion Awards.

Nova Employment nominated us for this and from what I understand it is the national version of the Local Business Awards that we won earlier in the year.

Naturally I was not expecting to win our category of most inclusive employer and naturally… I was wrong! We won!

I had to give a speech in front of 1000 people in a massive ball room! I felt like Tom Hanks or someone at the Oscars. It was a pleasure to speak though. I was able to let everyone know just how fabulous our club is and in particular how fabulous our Green Team and Proshop Teams are.

Seriously what a year the Green Team has had. This is basically their third prestigious award in 2024… and this one is national.

Congratulations to them and the incredibly hard working Proshop crew for laying the platform for this brilliant honour they have brought to our club.
